You guys know that I rarely apply glosses - I just don't like the heavy feel of them. I much prefer lip lacquers because they are long lasting and they have a lot more pigment in them. When I applied this gloss the first time at Chanel counter, I was head over heels for it.
The new
Rouge Allure Gloss has the same packaging as the Rouge Allure Lipstick - where you click the top to open it up. Love this packaging and what's more important is that the product inside is worth every single penny. And that means a lot, when its coming from a 'gloss averse' person like me!

Chanel's Rouge Allure Gloss were released last month, I suppose. At least, thats when i spotted them and even though, I rarely try out lip glosses, I was so attracted to the sleek packaging that I gave it a shot and KaBoom! It was completely opaque on lips, it felt non sticky, non slippery and just have an amazing even shine. I was so amazed at the quality of this that I just had to have it.
I shade that I picked is
#13 Affriolant - which I would describe as a bright coral-pink. Its quite vibrant but works well on my medium skin tone. I feel, this is the color I am most gravitated towards, whether lipsticks and now glosses ;) because, I can carry it on during the day time or apply it over a lipstick for night time. It does not contain any shimmer.
I love the shape of this velvety applicator as it glides very smoothly and evenly on lips. The formula is just a tad sticky, but then it lasts 6 hrs on me!! Which lip gloss can do that?! If I top it on a lipstick, I could even get up to 8 hours of wear time...isn't that spectacular? And even when it begins to fade, it leave my lips moisturized and slightly stained, which I really like. Love the glossy sheen it gives. Its just a very luxe product - from packaging to formulation - just stunning!
The price tag of
CAD$40 is quite steep for a gloss but its going to be that one lip gloss, I can always rely on. Its packed with color and feels very comfortable on lips. Must try!
