I delayed this review till I reached the end of this treatment and I am quite happy that this 1 ounce bottle lasted me several rounds of acne and almost a full year. It will not be an overstatement to call it the BEST acne medication out there, because it works and it works fasts.
Trust me adult acne is quite stubborn and it leaves marks and scars and what not. My teen years were pretty good in terms of skin - majorly clear skin, with very, very few breakouts but my life is so different now and so much more intense. Indeed, it shows up on skin.
So I have had all sorts of acne this year,from the harmless little ones to the angry puss filled ones, that leave scars if not treated properly. And I am quite happy that Dry Lo, literally dries out all the fluids in the pimple and all that happens overnight! Most of my scne would dry out in a single treatment but for the deeper, more puss filled, infection looking types, it would take several nights.
The last round of acne occurred around November and I had to use a topical antibiotic for it because it was a bacterial infection, I got from my preschooler and it was pretty intense. You know how many germs preschoolers bring home and then they just have to hug and kiss you when they return.
Anyways, so the Dry Lo is effective for the regular breakouts and mildy angry ones, but the crazy, deeper ones, need an antibiotic, because thats definitely some kind of infection.
Once the acne has dried out, it usually does leave a dark spot, but since, its no more 3-D, it can easily be covered with any concealer. The dark spot then takes it own good time and several exfoliation sessions to completely get off the face.
Another thing, that I really like is that Dry Lo stops acne from spreading, which is so crucial, because no body likes to look like a pepperoni pizza..
