I never wear a lip gloss and this was such an impulse purchase for me but I am glad I did. I was looking for lip gloss sets as holiday gifts and had my eyes on this set from Bobbi Brown but then I went to Sephora to stock up on my HG concealers and eyeliners during the VIB Sale and found these beautiful lipglosses. I was attracted to the packaging (lets be honest) but then I swatched it and the texture seemed very smooth, non sticky and the glitter was so evenly distributed. So I bought it with doubt that this will soon be returned and I didn't even photograph it until today. The shade I picked is a coral with golden glitter. Its called EVERDIOR. I also loved another one called DIORAMA which I am totally picking when I am at Sephora again. Diorama is a mauvy pink and I have had a similar shade long time ago from Marc Jacobs, so I know that shade works for me, and swatching all the glosses in store made me feel like a teen again. I only wore lip glosses during my teens and well into my twenties, until I started working and a shiny gloss seemed rather immature at work. But during the holidays, I love sparkles and anything shiny is on my list. This also makes a nice topper for nude lipstick or just about any lipstick.

SWATCHES
Lets begin with the packaging. Its a clear tube with silver accents and works well on my vanity decor. It looks so luxurious right next to my Tiffany perfume and I love how it reflects my bedroom lights - its a beautiful addition to my vanity.
The first thing I noticed, after opening the tube, was the brush applicator. I don't remember having a lip gloss with a thick brush tip like this one and honestly, I was a bit confused because I thought the gloss would drip everywhere and it would be a messy application. Since most liquid formulas come in sponge tip applicators of some sort, this was noticeably different. It applies smoothly and there isn't much of challenge to my surprise, I actually felt more comfortable with the brush because the bristles feel smooth on lips. It might not outline my lips perfectly like the YSL Tatouage or any other doe foot wand, but that is what makes glosses different than lipsticks. They need not be perfect in application but spread out evenly when you purse your lips.
The formula is totally non sticky and fragrance free. It contains a small percentage of hyaluronic acid which keeps lips hydrated and I felt that it noticeably plumped my lips that you might observe from the swatches above.
Its super shiny and the glitter will show! Not a huge fan of glitter but it looks nice. I wish this formula came in non glittery lip glosses too. They only have two non glitter shades in this line called NUDE and TELL ME DIOR. Both are beautiful and available at my closest Sephora. I am totally in love with this formula. My hair doesn't stick to my lips and its feels comfortably light weight and moisturizing on lips. Its a great product for dry lips/winter weather and if you want a plumping lip gloss then this should be the best bet.
Overall, I love this formula, the glitters are perfect for the holiday season and this shade works wonderfully for my skintone. Its not too pigmented but just enough to brighten up my lips and it lasted couple of hours on me. I sip and talk a lot during the day but if you can manage to keep food and gossip off your lips then it might last longer.
Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss retails for C$36.
