Before I even start describing this beautiful fragrance, can we just take a moment and appreciate the packaging and the color combination. It's like this perfume is wearing a pink top with a red pleated maxi skirt and a gold necklace. That's exactly how I see it and now I can't unsee it. I bet you can't unsee as well! ;o)
A beautiful spring fragrance by Juicy Couture called Oui is designed to make a statement and to say "Oui" or 'yes' to all the things you love! It's all about embracing yourself and believing that you can do whatever you want. With such a positive message, this feminine fragrance delivers a beautiful scent that stays on all day. More on today's blog..
Juicy Couture Oui Eau de Parfum is categorized as a fruity floral scent for women. It's a nice, fresh and uplifting spring scent but to me its too mainstream, too common that I literally felt that I had smelt it many times before. I don't know if it was my teenage nostalgia kicking in or just someone in the shopping mall...I did not find it to be special even though its a pretty good scent. I like it, don't get me wrong, but its a scent you may have experienced before.. its not unique.
Here is a breakdown of the notes in this perfume:
Top notes: Watermelon, Acai Tea and Pear
Middle notes: Jasmine, tuberose and honeysuckle
Base notes: Techno woods, amber resins and captive musk
I do enjoy the tuberose and the woodsy notes at its base and I think many people will enjoy it. Its not a very strong scent, its light and fresh, so I feel it is appropriate for any day occasion. For a special occasion or nights out, I would prefer something a bit deeper in composition, with a little more oomph.
Overall, I think Juicy Couture Oui Eau de Parfum is a great everyday scent. It might feel a bit commonplace, but it has a great lasting power and the woodsy, musky notes at its base will really surprise you and keep smelling fresh and cheery all day.
I would totally recommend this as a gift to your younger sister or a close friend. Its definitely a more youthful scent for me, however do try it out and see if you like it on yourself.
